The Mission of Stewardship of Immaculate Conception-Saint Peter Parish is to improve the quality of parish and community life by encouraging members to use their God-given gifts of time, talent and treasures to attain the goal He has created for us.

MINISTRIES

ACTS (Core Team)

Members of this group promote the ideas of Adoration, Community, Theology and Service for the continued growth and success of our parish. We do this through bible study, fund raisers for our scholarships, a monthly morning rosary, as well as other Parish activities.

Adult Ministry

Adult ministry is a group for those ages 18 years old (graduated from High School) to 55 years old who are interested in deepening their relationship with Christ through faith, fellowship, and fun!

Altar Servers

Young boys and girls, 4th grade plus, are trained to assist the celebrant at Mass and at other liturgical services.

Altar Society

The ladies of the Altar Society are devoted to the love of God, neighbor and preservation of family life. They also care for the adornment and cleanliness of the Altar.

Bereavement

The Bereavement Committee provides food for a grieving family on the day of the funeral, after the death of a loved one.

Bible Study

Come and deepen your bond with the teachings of Jesus and the various values in his stories.

Catechists (CCD)

Meeting Times: Wednesdays, August-March

Kindergarten – 5th Grade-----------5:00-6:30 p.m.

6th – 12th Grade-------------7:00-8:30 p.m.

Teachers need to be able to communicate well with our youth in teaching basic Catholic Christian Doctrine.

There is always a need for instrumentalists and choir members for our liturgies and funerals. Rehearsal times are weekdays at 5:30PM.

CrossRoads (Middle School)

This organization aims to provide an opportunity for students grades 6 to 8 to grow spiritually, intellectually and socially in a Catholic Christian environment.

Decorating Committee

This group creates the door prizes given out at the annual Christmas party.

Eucharistic Ministers

Help distribute Holy Communion during Mass and in bringing the Eucharist to the sick and shut-ins at home and in nursing homes.

Finance Council

The Finance Council helps oversee the income and balance sheet of our parish.

Homebound/Nursing Home

Our ministry to provide services to those who are bound to their home by illness or reside in a nursing home.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus is a national organization of men professing the Catholic faith. The local chapter is made up of members of St. Catherine and Immaculate Conception-St. Peter Parishes.

Lectors

Lectors have the task of making God present in the Liturgy of the Word for the parish community. Lectors should be able to proclaim the living Word and not simply read words on a page.

Money Counters

To assist in counting and depositing of the weekly offerings.

Parish Council

The Council provides advice and assistance to the pastor in making important decisions for the parish. They also help coordinate various parish functions.

RCIA(Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)

RCIA is a process for those who have not received the sacraments, to become fully participating members of the church. It is also an opportunity for practicing Catholics to attend refresher classes on Catholic Christian Doctrine. This program also has a need for sponsors for the candidates in their faith journey. The sponsors may also serve as Godparents. This 26 week course begins in September.

Stewardship

This committee was formed to promote the concept of Stewardship as a way of life. It is a way of thanking God for all of His blessings by returning a portion of the time, talent and treasure allotted to us on this earth.
